A beautiful work by the painter Pierre Favre depicting a view of the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel located in the Tuileries Garden opposite the Louvre Museum.
The artist portrays one of the emblematic monuments of the city of Paris, animated by figures strolling in front of it and riding bicycles.
Born in Paris in 1906, Pierre Favre adopted the south of France after studying at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. A painter of landscapes and portraits, he exhibited in numerous galleries.
In 1931, he became a member of the Société Artistique de l'Hérault and in 1938 of the Société des Artistes Indépendants.
Dimensions: 26.5 x 34.5 cm without frame and 39 x 48 cm with its gilded wooden frame.
