Small oval watercolor circa 1910-20 - signed "Proust," this is by Maurice Proust, watercolorist, decorator, and poster artist (1867-1944). In 1903, he created the poster for the Exposition of Housing and Building Industry at the Grand Palais. In 1924/1925, he designed sets for the Grand Guignol theater. The balustrade on the roof corresponds to the state of the mill circa 1890-1920 (see a copy of a postcard at the end of the slideshow; the postcard is not included). - perfect condition - frame 19.3 x 14.3 x 1.5 cm.
