Beautiful Reliquary Display Case, Monastic Art, Virgin With Veil, 18th Century

A beautiful reliquary chapel shaped, rom lacquered wood with pebbled decoration, featuring a lovely oval miniature painted on parchment, Virgin with Veil, in the Renaissance style. Beneath this portrait, four wrapped relics and a wax seal are suspended from nets of gilded silver wire embellished with glass beads. Monastic work, Southern Germany, 18th century. Visible good condition; however, base (a sliding panel) and one element of frame have been replaced, and there are likely some retouchings on blue paint.
