Very fine 18th century blown glass piece, Bohemia or Silesia, for export to France, Louis XV period.
Mounted on a blown oval base, with exposed pontil, the circular and flattened body ends in a high spout.
Handle formed with pliers, hot-applied, without damage.
Body is engraved of four medallions decorated of engraved bouquets of flowers, originally gilded with gold powder, which are framed in deeply wheel-engraved scrolls. on neck, a small garland of flowers, gilded.
1 1/2 liters, 33cm x 19cm x 12cm.
Good condition, small chip inside spout, (photo). Little bleaching, original gilding, almost disappeared, has been revived by acrylic metallic gilding of same color.
Blown foot is a little wobbly. Look carefully at the photos....
