Antique Art Nouveau chandelier in gilt bronze with pâte de verre shades, signed Muller. Dimensions: H 105 cm x diameter approx. 60 cm. This superb antique three-light chandelier, richly ornamented, is attributed to the early 20th century and is in the Art Nouveau style. The frame is made of finely chased and openwork bronze, decorated with scrolls, foliage, and floral motifs. The central stem features remarkable sculpted work with openwork and decorative reliefs, terminating in an elegant turned pendant. The chandelier is fitted with three pâte de verre shades in cloudy white and orange-yellow, with scalloped edges. The shades are signed Muller, the renowned French glassworks of Lunéville, known for the quality of its production in the early 20th century. The shades diffuse a warm and soft light, which is very decorative when lit.
