Louis XVI Style Mahogany Display Cabinet – 19th Century. This Louis XVI style display cabinet in flame mahogany dates from the second half of the 19th century. It opens with two large glazed doors revealing a fully fitted interior with light wood shelves, offering ample storage and display space. The uprights are adorned with detached columns highlighted with brass rings, in the Louis XVI neoclassical style. The frames are delicately inlaid with brass. The arched pediment is decorated with a simple and elegant marquetry design. The lower panels display a superb flame mahogany grain. The whole rests on turned feet. Its generous proportions (nearly 2.40 m high) make it a striking piece, ideal as a bookcase or display cabinet. Very good overall condition. Beautiful patina.
