Japanese Bronze In The Style Of Miyao

Artist: Dans Le Gout De Miyao
Depicts a fisherman and his son in traditional dress on a bamboo raft resting on four legs.

The fisherman steers the raft with a paddle while the boy holds a golden fish in his hands.
A basket beside them, containing a fish, serves as an inkwell (the glass is missing).

Beautifully crafted patinated and gilded bronze, finely chased, reminiscent of the work of Miyao Eisuke's workshops, end XIXc /early XXc.
