Late 16th Century Five-panel Chest Front
Large oak chest with a five-panel carved diamond pattern, each panel featuring a floral motif in the center. The hasp lock is present. Its dimensions are ideal for use as a headboard (for a 140cm to 160cm bed). The chest is waxed on both sides and the mounting brackets are in place. A reinforcement has been added to the upper (back) section. France, North or Picardy, late 16th century.
