Small Italian Chest Of Drawers, 17th/18th Century
A small marquetry and burr walnut chest of drawers, it opens with three drawers in the front. The top is carved from a single piece of wood. The shape of the piece and its base are in pure 17th-century style, but the marquetry and burr walnut finish, arranged in this way, already foreshadows the style to come in the 18th century. Italy, Tuscany, late 17th/early 18th century.
