Afghan wool Nakhonak, circa 1990. Very good condition. The knots have been restored in our workshop.
Beautiful Nakhonak using the 'souf' or 'suf' (relief) technique, incorporating kilim and knotted pile techniques. Surrounded by wide and varied borders, the center of the rug features a diamond pattern, likely inspired by briquetage. Subtle colors. This piece required great skill in its creation. Sturdy and durable.
