A solid gold sewing set in its original late 19th-century case. It contains a pair of scissors with gold handles, a needle case, an embroidery awl, and a thimble. All the tools are hallmarked with the eagle's head, the 18-karat gold hallmark (see photos). The case has some wear, but no missing pieces, and opens and closes properly. Total weight of the scissors (gold and steel): 7.41 grams. Total weight of the embroidery awl (gold and steel): 3.23 grams. Weight of the thimble: 4.33 grams. Weight of the needle case: 3.54 grams.
