A very elegant 19th-century writing table in the Louis XV-Louis XVI transitional style, stamped KRIEGER (1804-1869), featuring a marquetry structure of precious woods. The top is entirely inlaid with a geometric, illusionistic, cube-like marquetry pattern and decorated with flowers. It rests on four cabriole legs with closed bronze sabots. The drawer is unique in that it includes a sliding writing tablet lined with its original green leather, edged with gilt tooling. This charming little table, with its rich decoration and sun-kissed color, is in very good condition; its exceptional refinement will be showcased in any type of interior.
