"Early 19th Century Weekly Mirror"
An entrance mirror, composed of a central mirror veneered in walnut with a giltwood frame, flanked on either side by two vertical green and red morocco leather panels decorated with small tools, one for the French week, the other for the Italian week. The mirror is surmounted by a wide bas-relief frieze in giltwood on a blue background, inspired by antiquity, and at the bottom by two feet adorned with vine leaf friezes. This piece is likely of Turin origin, dating from 1820/1830, probably made for an Italian merchant. It is in perfect condition.
