Mixed media on cardboard (watercolor and gouache, highlights in gold and silver paint), framed, under glass, representing a family commemorative work created at Easter in 1935.
It is very likely a design for a Christian stained-glass window. At the center of the cross, the icon of Alpha and Omega, symbol of Christ, which signifies the beginning and the end.
Inscription at the bottom: OSTERN 1935 (Easter 1935)
Germany, Müller family.
Translation of the scriptures in the circle: The beginning and the end are in the hands of God. (in blue)
"From my youth, I have put my hope in you, O God, and you have not allowed me to be mistreated." ''(in red)

This work is based on a model by Professor DR PAUL WALLOT known for having designed the award-winning project for the Reichstag building in Berlin, at the end of the 19th century.
This piece was created by KARL WITTKUHN, a stained-glass artist, painter, and graphic designer based in Frankfurt am Main.

Condition: Good overall condition, with slight flaking of silver paint on the blue center letters.
