A Louis XVI (1774-1779) carved and gilded wooden mirror, 18th century.
It consists of a rectangular gilded wooden frame decorated with moldings.
The mirror is surmounted by a carved and gilded wooden pediment adorned with a medallion depicting a member of Parliament (contemporary engraving) upon which rests a laurel wreath and a ribbon embellished with bunches of grapes and vine leaves. Beautiful original gilding.
