Louis XVI Perriod Mirror. 18 Th Century.
Louis XVI period mirror from the south-east of France.
The pediment represents a quiver, its arrow and its bow and a torch lit by a ribbon concealing Love and fidelity, all surrounded by olive leaves and garlands of laurel leaves that descend along either side of the frame.
The surround of the mirror has a slight ogee on the edge, the covers and a line of pearls.
The frame has a slight recess on the bottom of the uprights that is found on the lower crossbar.
Finally, three stylized flower buds are placed under the lower crossbar directly above the uprights.
The gold is present on all surfaces of the frame.
The mirror and the bottom are original.
