Antique Victorian Burr Walnut Brass Mounted Tea Caddy Box C1860
This item is a freestanding rectangular box constructed of burr walnut wood panels with brass mounts and decorative studs. It dates to the Victorian period, circa 1860, and functions as a tea caddy. The exterior features a central brass medallion depicting a Roman soldier bust and black painted trim, which shows signs of wear and chipping. The interior has two compartments, both lined with green velvet. The lid is hinged with visible brass hinges. A lock mechanism is present on the front edge (missing key).
