Rare late 19th-century medal depicting the Virgin and Child in bas-relief, crafted in gilt bronze within an ivory frame and a halo of green and blue plique-à-jour enamel.
Late 19th or very early 20th century.
Very good condition (minor chip at the top of the attachment). Presented with a ring in its original compartmentalized blue velvet case by Maison Brunet in Bône.
Case dimensions: 14 x 10 x 2.5 cm; ivory frame: 9 x 6 cm; bronze and enamel medal: 4.5 cm in diameter.
