Pair Of Art Deco Gate Grilles By Piguet Lyon
Pair of gates attributed to Charles Piguet (1887-1942), a Lyon-based wrought iron craftsman, suitable for use as a gate, in the Art Deco Modernist style, in perfect condition. Originating from Lyon, the central pleated motif symbolizes the renowned Lyon silk industry of that era, whose exceptional craftsmanship was celebrated by many famous painters. The gates are assembled using screws and rivets, without any welding, the bars passing through the rails. The installation of offset hinges would allow for an opening of 275 cm to 280 cm. Two original plates, 20 x 8 cm, allow for the installation of a lock. The width of the leaves is slightly different: the left one is 131.2 cm, the right one 127.4 cm. The frame dimensions are 40 x 20 mm. You can visit our website: www.claudeaugustin.com
