Lovely Pair Of Hair Compositions, Framed 19thc

A very pretty pair of framed compositions. An off-white background features a design of urns, some with large leafy branches adorned with flowers. The compositions are made of hair, and each bears an inscription "Souvenir of my mother" or "Souvenir of my brother, Class of '23" with initials on either side of the urn. Each composition is sandwiched between two panes of glass, themselves framed in a gilded wood and stucco frame. The backings have been recently replaced and reinforced.
Very good overall condition; one of the backing panes has a chip, not visible from the front, clearly shown in my detailed photos. Please look at them carefully; I'm not hiding anything!
French working, dating from the second half of the 19th century.
