Watercolor over pencil lines depicting a group of villas in Piquey, executed around 1916 by André Lhote. The fresh and luminous palette combines soft greens, golden ochres, and nuanced blues in a structured composition characteristic of the artist's Cubist explorations during this period. The architecture is rendered in geometric volumes, enlivened by a play of hatching and constructive lines. In the foreground, two stylized figures animate the scene. Signed lower left.
