Henri Vignet (1857-1920) was a multi-talented artist: composer, musician, antique dealer, decorator, naturalist, illustrator, and renowned landscape painter. Henri Vignet was one of the founders of the Rouen School. He depicted street scenes of old Rouen and numerous Norman landscapes, the streets of Paris where he stayed for a time, the Jura Mountains, and the South of France, before settling in Nyons in the Drôme region where he spent his final years.
