Quilted Printed Cotton Quilt - Double-sided Marseille Piqué - Provence - Vintage Linen

Quilted Provençal or Marseille quilted quilt (circa 1900). Made from two printed fabrics, the pink one featuring a subtle, almost solid-colored pattern of numerous scalloped Japanese maple leaves. The other side is reminiscent of checkered fabrics, represented here by a graphic interlacing of fine, duplicated lines in a blue-grey tone on a slightly greyish-cream background.

Condition : The overall structure is in very good condition, with only a few loose stitches here and there; no snags or particular fragility. There are slight, even very slight, variations in color or fading due to long storage in a family wardrobe. These imperfections are minor and relatively discreet (see photos). The quilt is in excellent condition.

It has been professionally cleaned using a specialized program to avoid altering the nature of the materials or the tones, and to preserve the distribution of the filling between the fabrics.
