Antique linen bed set (circa 1900), marked with the JS monogram. This beautiful set, from an important traditional trousseau from the early 20th century, includes two lovely pillowcases matching a large, wide sheet richly worked across its entire width, as well as along the side borders serving as returns. The two pillowcases, embroidered so as to respect a vis-à-vis once arranged, display the same decoration as the sheet. Very beautiful quality of work carried out with dexterity and regularity on a piece of extra linen, fluid with a soft drape. Beautiful off-white tone, very slightly grayed from the linen which has been little used. Antique linen in perfect condition, washed and ironed.
