A pair of Empire gilt bronze candlesticks. Each rests on a circular base chased with foliate motifs and wreaths. The fluted stem rises from a bulbous body adorned with flowers and acanthus leaves. The flared candle holders are decorated with teardrops and small flowers. The original candle cups are present, chased with grooves. 19th-century Empire period work with beautiful gilding.
