Travel Cutlery

Silver travel cutlery, end 18th - early 19th century in its burgundy leather barrel-shaped case. It is composed of the following elements:
A silver cup
A retractable leather display with its compartments inserted in the cupA folding knife with its gold ferrules and its mother-of-pearl handle in which is engraved a virgin escutcheon . The blade bears the mark of the couturier 'Mathieu in Paris' (the cutler’s trade was an activity independent from that of goldsmiths)
A folding spoon and fork with their mother-of-pearl handle engraved with a virgin escutcheon
a silver spoon
A cylindrical case in ebene and ivory that projects from both sides, the upper part revealing a system with round holes
The timbale has an hallmark at the 1st cock (1789-1809) . It's created by Blaise Simon Trotin working to 1898 at1808
The cutleries have an hallmark at the 2nd cock (1809-1819). Their hallmark is illegible
