"Louis XVI Style Mahogany Sideboard, Late 18th Century"
A solid mahogany sideboard dating from the late 18th century. The front opens with four doors and three drawers. The uprights are fluted at the front and back. Bronze escutcheons with rows of pearls. A key for each door and drawer. Original white marble top, likely Carrara, of considerable thickness with a molded edge that perfectly follows the contour of the piece. Tapered, fluted legs ending in sabots. Waxed finish. Some restorations consistent with age and use are noted, and the back of the piece was entirely refinished, probably in the 20th century.
