"Oriental Helmet, Kulha Khud - Ottoman Empire - Turkish - Qajar - Iran - Persia, 19th Century "
A beautiful oriental helmet known as a Kulah Khud, used by the Ottoman Empire, the Persians, and the Indo-Persian peoples. The helmet is made of engraved steel, decorated with epigraphic cartouches and medallions, and surmounted by a four-sided spike with a movable nasal guard and steel plume holder. It features chainmail extending down the back and sides of the skull. In good condition, the helmet measures 27 cm in height (to the spike), 60 cm in total height, and 21 cm in diameter.
