"Napoleon III Work Table – 19th Style XVI"
Napoleon III work table - 19th century, in violin-shaped marquetry, walnut, violet wood in the frames and various native stained woods, richly inlaid top decorated with a central floral motif, foliage, arabesques, decoration on the theme of sewing etc.... with a brass frieze around the edge, floral and foliate decoration on the apron. The top lifts to reveal a mirror, then a drawer with two compartments, resting on four fluted legs adorned with gilt brass mounts, linked by a stretcher surmounted in its center by a cassolette.
