The marquetry is in a butterfly wing pattern on the horizontal sections and in a "pile of sand" pattern on the back.
This piece, with its flowing lines, opens to reveal five drawers, a sliding shelf, and three flaps on the top, concealing two removable compartments for storing wigs.
The dressing table rests on cabriole legs terminating in gilt bronze mounts.
The mirror is mercury-backed.
The entire frame is made of oak. Very fine quality of workmanship.
This piece, which was a special commission, is in excellent condition.

Louis XV period.

Hubert Hansen (died in 1756) – cabinetmaker in Paris.
The pieces bearing his mark testify to his great talent.
After obtaining his master's certificate in 1747, Hansen set up his workshop on the rue de Charenton and died a few years later, in 1756. The numerous works he left behind are in the Louis XV style, classical in form, crafted with great taste and elegance, generally veneered in rosewood and violet wood, richly decorated with flowers, branches, and rocaille bronze mounts.
