Object description :

"French Impressionist School Circa 1870 : "the Horse-drawn Carriage""
French School, circa 1870: "The Horse-Drawn Carriage," oil on canvas, 54 x 76 cm, mounted in a beautiful German gilt frame, 69 x 91 cm.
Minor restorations, needs cleaning.
This horse-drawn carriage is designed for two passengers, driven by two coaches, one at the rear and the other mounted on one of the horses. In case of rain, a hood can be deployed.
The horses' movement is superb and very accurate, indicating a master who, unfortunately, left no visible signature !
