Robert Vernet-Bonfort was born in 1934 in Marseille. He studied art at the Marseille School of Fine Arts from 1948 to 1957, where he won numerous prizes. Selected for the Salon des Peintres Témoins de leur Temps and the Menton International Biennial, he won the Grand Prize of the Elisabeth T. Greenshield Foundation in Montreal. He has exhibited his works in France and abroad, particularly in England, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the United States, and Canada. A brilliant colorist, his meticulously crafted compositions are remarkably precise.
