"Mother-of-pearl And Silver Travel Corkscrew Forming A Seal - 18th Century"
A silver, mother-of-pearl, and steel travel corkscrew. The barrel-shaped handle is made of slightly brown-veined mother-of-pearl encircled by bands with decorative fillets. The silver case is decorated with twisted motifs imitating a corkscrew's worm and terminates in an engraved die forming a seal. Late 18th century. Good condition; the rings at the ends of the handle are missing, and there is minor oxidation on the worm. Height: 8.8 cm. Gross weight: 45.5 g.
