Chamfered barrel, rifled bore, silver half-moon front sight, marked on top "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.“ on the top, ”PAT. SEPT. 15, 1874 DEC 15-74“ on the bottom, and ”COLT NEW 22" in a cartouche on the right side.
Hollow round cylinder with seven chambers.
Spur trigger.
Nickel-plated bronze frame, marked “22CAL” on the left side and numbered “3” on the inside.
Bird's beak stock registered “43329”.
Wooden stock plates.
Single action.
Nickel-plated, blued and 90% bronzed finish.
