"Large Empire-style Candlesticks In Gilt Bronze "
An original pair of Empire-style mercury-gilt bronze candlesticks (32cm tall). The circular base is decorated with a radiant sunburst of palmettes and flowers. The fluted stem rests on a finely chased sphere adorned with crosshatching and palmettes. The original candle holders and drip pans are also beautifully crafted. The original mercury gilding is perfectly preserved, with no trace of oxidation.
