A rare set of statuettes by Honoré Daumier, known for his caricatures of 19th-century society. This multifaceted artist, excelling in drawing, painting, and satirical sculpture, was extremely adept at capturing the characters of his contemporaries. Here, passersby, likely encountered by the artist, are depicted in their daily lives. Each of these three pieces bears the monogram HD, found in the Bénezit dictionary, page 269, volume 4. Note: the male figure's cane has been reconstructed.
