A rare two-compartment turquoise opaline inkwell set within two gilt bronze bands decorated with water leaves, with a patinated bronze handle decorated with a fleur-de-lis, two patinated bronze baluster-shaped pen rests, all on an ebony base with patinated bronze claw feet. The inkwell lids are gilt bronze decorated with bursting pomegranates. A rare and very fine piece.
