Locomotive Thermometer
This beautiful measuring instrument comes from Italy; it displays the temperature of the steam engine running behind it. In Milan, the thermometer reading is omitted. It is mounted on a brass and cast iron laboratory stand. Coming from a collection of measuring devices, I don't know if it was originally intended for a steamship or a locomotive.
