Clock in ormolu on the theme of astronomy. The dial circled flower consists of a central cartridge finely chiseled gilt bronze and white enamel cartridge indicating the hours in Roman numerals. It is part of a terminal ornate flowers and a library. Topped by Scientific (square, ruler, blue celestial globe), the terminal is flanked by Urania and a summed column of a compass and a telescope. Urania, one of the 9 muses daughters of Zeus is the allegory of Astronomy. It rests on a rectangular base decorated of an Athenian and two cherubs framed two lyres identified a laurel wreath. The movement is signed BECHOT wire.
