"Pair Of Italian Gilded Wood Baroque Torchères/flame Pot 30cm Decorative "
A beautiful pair of decorative torch-style ornaments (or decorative "flambeaux"), each surmounted by a carved flame. The baluster-shaped body features scrolled handles, friezes, and gadroons, set on a circular base. The antique gilding over a gesso/stucco-type primer has a warm patina and shows signs of wear. Highly decorative as a console table, mantelpiece, bookcase, or in wainscoting. The carved wood is gilded and patinated. The decoration is printed using a roller technique on the bands. Height: 30 cm. In good decorative condition. There is wear and rubbing to the gilding, small chips/losses on the raised areas, surface cracks, and an antique patina.
