A dressing mirror with its original Arte Povera-style frame, dating from the 18th century. An essential item for grooming, it features the fashionable Arte Povera style. The frame is a molded design, cut at the top, and the mirror is beveled. It has a wooden backing and its original hanging ring, but the easel for displaying it is missing. The decoration consists of cut and pasted engravings on a yellow background teeming with polychrome flowers and leaves. There is wear and chipping of the varnish, consistent with its age, and a small missing piece in the lower right corner (indicated by an arrow in a close-up photo). There is also slight deterioration of the silvering, which is quite acceptable for connoisseurs and/or collectors of this type of object. This piece remains charming and truly authentic. I am offering this mirror in its found condition. Price is firm. Shipping: €15 within mainland France.
