"Table Gerbe By Maria Pergay"
"Gerbe" table in brushed and polished stainless steel, also known as Sheaf, designed by Maria Pergay, produced circa 1970. The round glass top is probably not original. However, this version appears more balanced than the initial smoked glass version, which was noticeably thinner. The significant weight of the slab creates a slight spring effect in the slats: the tabletop exhibits a perceptible flexibility when leaned on. The glass top is in very good condition and has no significant scratches. Estimated weight: approx. 50 kg. According to the reference work, the "Gerbe" table exists in several variations, defined by the number of rods constituting the structure; the higher the number, the more sought-after the model. This example has eight rods, distributed across four legs. Bibliography: Suzanne Demisch, Stéphane Danant, Maria Pergay.
