Rabbit-shaped Centimeter, Rare Late 19th-century Model, Stamped Brass
A beautiful and rare item: a small, stamped brass rabbit with large ears, made of two shells, the two sides joined together.
Its corkscrew tail serves as a crank to unwind a small centimeter of fabric, ending in a bone ring. (It's only 70cm long...)
A charming, well-loved object, slightly dented, showing traces of an old cold-painted finish.
The crank is a little difficult to operate.
A later version of this rabbit, circa 1900, is equipped by a celluloid unwinder housed in its belly; less attractive and much more common.
6.5cm x 5cm x 2cm. See our photos.
