A beautiful and intimate boxwood sculpture of the Virgin and Child, probablyexecuted in Malines or elsewhere in Flandres around 1600-1650 and intended forprivate devotion. Exceptional that the metal crowns are still preserved. Verygood condition, a few usual splits in the wood and with some minor damages, butvery good condition for the age.
