The first, dated 1919, depicts a vibrant bucolic landscape in a Post-Impressionist style.
The second, dated 1921, presents a Mediterranean landscape, likely "Little Africa," as seen from the Beaulieu road on the French Riviera.
Curiously, a period photograph shows it in its magnificent frame, in the home of the Marquis de Panneboeuf, who owned it. Legend has it that, upon reflection, he ultimately chose the first painting. The photograph and a certificate of provenance will be provided to the buyer. Framed dimensions: 110 cm wide, 112 cm high.
