"Buffet Diminutif Renaissance "
A rare miniature buffet, 13th century. This small buffet, carved from solid wood, is remarkable for its elegant proportions and rich decoration. It features a two-part architectural structure adorned with panels of figurative relief, mascarons, and decorative motifs. The carved crowning element is surmounted by an eagle sculpted in the round, accompanied by figures and vegetal elements, lending the whole a strong symbolic presence. The doors rest on a molded base with turned feet. A beautiful, deep, and even antique patina highlights the quality of the carving and the age of the piece. Period: 13th century.
