An Italian model of the Temple of Castor and Pollux, dating from the late 19th century. Made of mahogany with bronze capitals, it rests on a faux marble base. The Temple of Castor and Pollux was an ancient Roman temple, originally built in gratitude for the victory at the Battle of Lake Regillus.
