Remington Deringer pistol, over and under, .41 RF caliber, NY- 1867 - 19th century. Nickel-plated frame pistol with a firing pin that swings from one barrel to the other. A lever on the right side of the frame unlocks the barrel assembly, which pivots upwards. An extractor, with a pusher located between the two barrels on the left side, removes spent casings. Checkered grip panels. The mechanism is in good working order. Marking on the top rib of the barrel: "REMINGTON ARMS ILION NY". The serial number is located under the barrel, see photo.
