Fern Glass With Gadrooned Bowl And Twisted Stem - Early 18th Century
A lightly tinted blown glass fern glass. It features an ogival bowl with a partially molded decoration of pellets and gadroons, resting on a twisted stem with a long air bubble. The round foot is slightly raised. Early 18th century. Very good condition, with small air bubbles and impurities in the glass. Note the slight thickness and marks from the glassmaker's rotation visible on the foot. Height: 12.8 cm – Bowl diameter: 6 cm – Foot diameter: 5.7 cm Weight: 56 g
