Glass Jam Cupboard With Gadrooned Decoration - Orléans, Follower Of Bernard Perrot, 18th Century
A molded blown glass compote or jam dish with a delicate gadrooned decoration. The body rests on a small foot applied while hot, the rim embellished with four bands. The lid has a spiral knob handle. A distinctive feature of this piece is a currant-red band at the top of the body and a cabochon of the same color at the top of the handle.
Orléans, attributed to Bernard Perrot, late 17th - early 18th century.
Very good condition, with minor imperfections and air bubbles.
